Spooktacular!

A Halloween Fundraiser event: All proceeds go directly back to the students of East Hawai’i; supporting performing arts and community learning programs at ASC!

Zombie Fun Run

Participate as a solo survivor or get together with friends and family to form your Zombie Apocalypse Survival Team! Immerse yourself in an interactive theatrical experience: Escaping the zombie horde and getting to the safe zone where live music, food vendors, and a Halloween Carnival await!

Runners can choose their individual level of scare by avoiding or going deeper into zombie territory. An Autumn-themed Fairy Trail will be available for anyone looking to celebrate the season without the scare.

Cost: $10 Carnival Cash
Time: First Come, First Serve in running “Waves” from 1-3p

Carnival

Zombies, Fairies, and Runners of all ages are welcome to join us for an afternoon of Halloween Carnival Fun!

Entrance to the Carnival and the live entertainment is FREE and open to the public from 1-5pm.

Carnival games are played using Carnival Cash you can purchase at the event!

Vendors have their own individual pricing system.

Scary Stories! In the Dark!

Live Performances of Spooky Tales adapted from literature and folklore will be presented fireside style by HAAS’ Drama Club.

Adult supervision recommended for anyone under the age of 13 - these tales are sure to frighten!

Carnival Cash can buy your entry into the Spooky Stories tent from 4-5p!

The Spooktacular! Zombie Fun Run & Carnival is a rain or shine event!

Dress up in your costumes and enjoy a day filled with engaging activities, delicious treats, and LOTS of fun & entertainment!

All proceeds go directly back to community-based learning programs at ASC. ASC hosts Youth Intersession Camps and supports a wide variety of school and community programs for both Youth and Adults to explore their passions & build their skills right here in East Hawaii!

  • Updated

    General Entry to Spooktacular is open to the public and FREE!! Free admission opens up access to the live music, field games, general experience, vendors, and opportunities to earn Carnival Cash.

    Carnival Cash will also be available for purchase $1 for $1! But every $20 spent on Carnival Cash earns you $5 bonus!

    Fun Run: $10 per person

    Fairy Trail: $5 per student (parent chaperones complimentary or by donation)

    Fishing: $2

    Spooky Stories: $2

    Carnival Games: $1-$3 depending on the game

    Food/Drink/Craft/Service Vendors will have their own independent pricing.

  • No one is turned away for lack of funds!

    The Carnival portion of the event is FREE and open to the public.

    There will be opportunities to earn Carnival Cash through games and volunteering!

  • The immersive & interactive Zombie experience is completely optional and will be contained in specific locations on campus.

    One of the Fun Run Trails will even be designed without any scary features - picture a fairy trail!

    The Carnival itself will also have a spook-free design.

    The scary stories will be spooky. View at your own risk :)

  • Zombies will be trained for safety and security. They will also be painted and adorned for theatrical fun. For these reasons, Zombies will largely be limited to HAAS Drama Club’s Students and Family Members.

    There may be case specific circumstances in which it makes sense to entrust the roll of a Zombie to someone outside of Drama Club. If you’d like to be considered, feel free to reach out to info@hiasc.org.

  • Please reach out to info@hiasc.org to inquire about volunteering. There are a hundful of positions that we could use help filling. Mahalo!

  • All registrants must sign a copy of the race waiver in order to participate.

    Parents/Guardian of minors are able to sign a waiver on their behalf.

    After completing your online registration you will receive an email with a link to view the waiver and sign electronically. If you don’t receive this email, you can sign the waiver on race day, but will need to make sure to account for the time it will take to do so.
